Model: Infil Knife
I designed the Infil knife to be a fusion of old and new taking inspiration from the classic Bowie and contemporary tactical designs that provide rugged utility cutting and piercing in an edged tool. The Infil is made out of 1084 high carbon steel and has a differential heat treatment, where the cutting edge and point are harder and the spine and tang treated to be softer for durability and shock absorption. The long clip point allows for detailed work and penetration at the point, while the curved belly provides slicing at the edge. The blade has large deep jimping to provide comfortable control for your thumb, even when wearing gloves. The large jimping also provides a groove to support striking a ferro rod. Full tang with lanyard hole.
Description: This specific knife pictured above has a 1084 carbon steel full-tang blade and is a satin gray with rustic textures from the forge process. The knife scales are shaped for a comfortable and secure grip and are exotic Ziricote wood. This wood is naturally resistant to decay. Ziricote is celebrated for its stunning visual features, characterized by its deep, dark brown to black color with mesmerizing grain patterns. Its unique figuring, including intricate lines and swirls, makes each piece one-of-a-kind. The custom sheath is handcrafted from 100% veg-tan leather and is hand-stitched. The sheath has two brass rivets; one secures the belt loop and the other the mouth of the sheath, making it both unique and durable. Proudly made in El Paso, TX.
