Make-a-Knife Experience

The Make-a-Knife Experience is a 1-on-1 coaching session held at my workshop in West El Paso, TX, where you get to make your very own knife and sheath over the span of about 6-hours+ under my guidance and assistance. 

Price: $250.00 ($175.00 for Military/Veterans/Law Enforcement)

UPDATE: 1 FEBRUARY 2025. My 19 year old son recently passed away and I have stepped away from knife making to assess my path forward. No classes are currently being offered at this time.

Requirements & Additional Info

• Please dress appropriately for the weather as we will spend most of the time outdoors. 

• Eye, hearing protection, and work gloves are recommended (You can bring your own or I can provide it). 

• Clothing attire should consist of anything you are okay getting dirty in. Cotton is preferred (jeans, t-shirt, sweater, coveralls, etc is good). 

• Closed-toe footwear only. Boots preferred. 

• Nylon and synthetic materials are not recommended due to sparks/fire hazards. 

• You can pack a lunch, snacks, drinks and/or take a 30-minute lunch break to grab lunch in the area at noon. 

• You are welcome to start looking at possible knife designs prior to the lesson and bring a picture of a knife you think you might want to build. Okay to bring a rough sketch, picture, or a cardboard cut-out. 

• Your completed knife dimensions will result in a handcrafted knife with a maximum of 12" in length, 1/8" thickness, and a max of 2" width and will include a genuine leather hand-stitched belt sheath.

• The knife build may go beyond 6-hours at no extra charge depending on the overall design and pace of the customer's build. I will coach you from beginning to end until you complete your knife!

• The experience is 1-on-1. The only group offering I have is if you register as a pair (ie. father-son, parent/youth, etc). Minimum age for youth is 12 years of age due to safety/hazard considerations. Please note a pair may taker longer than 6-hours to complete.

• Cancellation Policy: No fees will be incurred if you need to change your booking date. You can cancel your booking at anytime for a refund, please note that a $12.00 service fee will be applied.
